it already beats Final Fantasy the movie a couple years back... the eyes, the skin texture... all spot on. but like you said, it begs the question... if you make CGI look so real, then why not just use real actors?!
another guess is visual flare? maybe zemeckis is trying to give the movie a unique selling proposition from being a typical medieval fare? |

i try to not judge a movie before it's out, so let's hope there's some substance behind the eye candy here. |

| November 16. Saw a new trailer of it when i watched Hairspray last weekend, and it looks awesome. I hope there's substance underneath all that CGI goodness though...^_^ |

| ryderaquino wrote on Aug 28, '07, edited on Aug 28, '07 i think CGI can be just as good, just look at Ratatouille and all the Pixar flicks. i know they're supposed to be animation and not 'live-action' replacements, but i think CGI can elicit some genuine emotions and thrills just as good. i guess for me it doesn't matter if what i'm seeing is cgi or live-action, as long as it's done well and gets me interested in the characters and all.
i know what you mean though. there's something different with real actors that you just can't get completely with CGI. as for die hard, it was cool that john mclane beat starscream and lived to tell about it...^_^ |

They say Megan Fox of Transformers is following AJ's footsteps. For instance: she's gotten into the tattoo craze, she's very vocal about talking about sex (like AJ when she was still with Billy Bob), etc.
And oh, AJ did bare herself for "Original Sin" and "Taking Lives" with Ethan Hawke. Hmmmm, I'm sure that Ryder's now on his way to get that DVD copy :-) |
